Forty-two suites and long-stay residences behind a restored Deco facade — marble, walnut and brass, ten minutes on foot from the Baixa.

Savoy Luxury Accommodations occupies six floors of a 1938 residential block built for a Lisbon shipping family, converted in 2019 with most of its original fabric intact — the terrazzo stair, the brass mailboxes, the birdcage lift that still needs a firm hand.
What we added was infrastructure: proper glazing against the avenue, air handling that runs silently through August, showers with pressure worth the name, and a kitchen in every residence. What we refused to add was scale. Forty-two keys, one reception desk, and a team small enough that by your second morning somebody knows how you take your coffee.
It suits two kinds of guest. Those in Lisbon for three or four nights who want a real neighbourhood rather than a resort, and those staying a month who need a home with a front desk attached.

Silence on a loud avenue
Triple glazing, 42 dB tested in every front room, and a courtyard wing for anyone who sleeps lightly. The avenue is outside the window, not inside the bed.
A kitchen when you want one
Every residence has a full kitchen with a Miele oven and induction hob. We stock it before arrival from the Mercado da Ribeira if you send a list.
The same faces
Nine of our eleven staff have been here since opening. The concierge, Rui, grew up two streets away and books tables other people cannot.
Flexible by default
Free cancellation to 48 hours before arrival, no prepayment, and a late checkout at 15:00 whenever the floor allows it — which is most days.
Everything worth walking to
We booked four nights and stayed eleven. By the end Rui had stopped asking where we wanted to eat and simply told us — and he was right every time.
Questions we are asked most
Is there parking?
There is no garage in the building. We hold eight spaces in the Parque Liberdade garage one block north at €22 per day, and the valet will take the car from the door. Book the space with your room — in high season the eight go quickly.
What is included in the rate?
Breakfast in the Salão Verde, Portuguese city tax, wi-fi throughout, the honesty bar on the fifth floor, and use of the small gym. Laundry, parking and airport transfers are charged separately.
Do you take long stays?
Yes — six residences are let by the week or the month, with a discount of 20 per cent from seven nights and 35 per cent from twenty-eight. A weekly clean, linen change and a registered postal address are included.

Are children and dogs welcome?
Children of any age, yes; cots are free and the residences take an extra bed. One dog up to 15 kg per suite, €25 per night, with a bed and bowls waiting in the room. The Salão Verde takes dogs at breakfast on the terrace side.
How accessible is the building?
The entrance has a 4 cm threshold ramp and the main lift takes a wheelchair (80 cm door). Two Courtyard Suites are adapted with roll-in showers and grab rails. The 1938 birdcage lift in the east stair is charming and not accessible — it is optional.
